So summer time just came and went.

Around these parts, Philly/South Jersey, there's a place called Hammonton. Most of you never fukkin heard of it.

Hammonton though is the blueberry capital of the world.

Every summer, I buy cases of and freeze them for use over the whole winter.

Then, when winter gets here, there's a place called Kennett Square, PA. Most of you never fukkin heard of it.

Kennett Square though is the mushroom capital of the world. Every winter I buy cases of mushrooms and have them throughout the summer.

Kennett Square mushroom soup is world class, the best in this country by a mile and the only place on earth I ever had something equal or better was in Italy.

Eat healthy. It's important.

These are just another example why the best food in this country is in Philly.

Just my .02 cents in the whole “healthier is more expensive” argument.

CONVENIENCE is more expensive. You can go to Whole Foods where they did a little bit of homework for you and packed “healthier” foods and lay out the ass for it - or continue thinking your getting a “bargain” with that $5 biggie bag at the drive through and die at 56 of clogged arteries.

It cost nothing to read a label and make slight adjustments - and reality is some very simple adjustments DO make a difference. Just the other day was looking at difference between brown and white rice - cost difference - none. But brown healthier choice.

Similar just using common sense with meats - the stuff out of the tube at WalMart isn’t as good as fresh beef from the counter at a butcher who processed on site. Price difference can be negligible - but Walmart is one stop shopping. Some people just won’t take the simple extra step.

Plenty of healthy options out there and simple adjustments you can make - but no one has an interest jn pushing these over their higher margin alternatives.
