"Head-to-head: Carlos Alcaraz leads 9-4 (Sinner leads 1-0 on grass). The numbers are heavily stacked against Jannik Sinner, who has lost their last five official encounters. However, Sinner has arguably been the better player for large stretches in most of those matches, often finding himself in advantageous positions. What let him down, time and again, was not his game but his mindset as these losses were more mental than technical.

After the heartbreaking loss at the French Open, which left him visibly in shock and tears, there's a strong case to be made that Sinner has already faced the worst emotional blow of his career. With that behind him, there may be nothing left for him to fear mentally. The faster playing conditions at Wimbledon, compared to Rome or the French Open, give Sinner an extra edge that could finally help him overcome his trauma against Carlos Alcaraz.

All four of Sinner's previous wins over Alcaraz came in matches where he entered as the underdog. That is once again the case here, unlike their recent meetings at the Rome Masters and French Open, where expectations were higher. With slightly less pressure on his shoulders and playing in conditions that suit him better, the Italian has a genuine opportunity to get things right and redeem himself after the heartbreak in Paris."

Sinner is not the underdog.

Yeah I think someone said it a few posts back. This is the type of play where you bet Carlos and if Sinner somehow wins, god bless. Alcaraz is very close to the big 3 territory. I find it hard to believe someone beats him 3 out of 5 sets in a major. and if Sinner does oh well. Some rinky dink tournament like Cincinnati I could see him losing 2 out of 3. Not a major.
