Belgium and Sweden's Euro 2024 qualifier was abandoned at half-time after two people were shot dead in Brussels before the game.

Belgium's prime minister Alexandre de Croo confirmed the two people shot dead on Monday evening were Swedish nationals.

I was at a Dr's apptmt and came home at halftime. DAZN just showed an empty pitch for 20 minutes without commentary. I finally switched over to the Netherlands @ Greece game.

Both England and Italy have a game in hand on the group , so today has special significance to both sides. England will essentially clinch the Group with a win and Italy would move into 2nd alone. Saka and Shaw are out for England but depth is an English strong suit. Italy by comparison are without 3 forwards in Immobile , Retegui and Chiesa. More importantly is the absence of Pelligrini in the midfield , where England are deep and talented. Its 13c / 55f in London at kickoff , very English type of day.
