Utah State was blown out at home by Weber State in their last game and UNLV just beat North Texas by 31. North Texas looks like a better team than Utah State when I judge them by their resumes this year, so with this low spread I could easily see a game that is not even competitive and that will maximize action points.

Texas -6.5 @ Texas Tech
Texas played Bama to the limit. This is a good Texas team. They crushed LA-Monroe and UTSA but the Bama performance was the true indicator of how good this team can be.

Texas Tech is all about the passing game. 80% of their yards are from passes. They are 14th in the country with 325 ypg passing. Texas is pretty good against the pass and they played a very similar (high passing) offense last week in UTSA and won 41-20. I think they will handle Texas Tech similarly and limit how well they do through the air..

Texas Tech played a team last week (North Carolina) who is very similar to Texas in passing/rushing breakdown and they were beat 27-14. North Carolina, the only "major" school Texas Tech has played so far, is very suspect having barely scraped by two Sun Belt schools (App St. and Gerogia St.). If Texas Tech lost readily to North Carolina, they must not be that good of a team IMO.

I'm not a huge fan of yards per point statistics (YPPT) especially this early in the season but using those metrics Texas should win by 15 points. When compared to the spread of -6.5, there appears to be value on the Longhorns.

This could somehow be a close game due to being played in Lubbock or it could be a blowout by Texas. I'm betting on the latter occurring to rack up some Action Points on the tie-breaker.

This is a rivaly game. I always like the home team in close rivalry games plus we're getting points. I bet V. Tech ML @ BookMaker earlier.

Lets get the bad part out early. V. Tech offense is not good. 76th in rushing ypg and 108 in passing ypg. But, their DEFENSE is amazing. Allowing 42 rushing ypg (5th in NCAA) and 158 passing ypg (14th in NCAA). The key to this game is if Virg Tech will score. Then again, we might see some defensive scores for this team. Regardless, I don't see W. Virg scoring more than a couple of TDs and that isn't going to be enough to win.

The crowd will be hyped for Virg Tech since these two schools are so close to each other and this is likely the one game they focused on when the schedule came out.

Even with TJ Watt out the D has keep the steelers close enough to win, even tho last week when they lost. I think there Offense gets going this week with Harris having a big night running the ball to open up the passing game and improve on there season high of 269 passing yards
Tomlin and the steelers are 11-5 in the last 16 when getting the points

Both plays I feel the odds makers have the wrong teams as the favorites.

Wilson owns San Fran. He knows this team very well. Garoppolo Didn’t start this year because they don’t think he can win long term. Denver is not an easy place to travel to. I don’t see him as the improvement to make San Fran a favorite in Denver.


Toledo?? Really they are a 3 point favorites in SDSU new stadium? No way will SDSU with their running game a defense allow this school to walk in there and take the win.

Too many points here IMO as NIU invades Lexington. The Huskies were leading Vandy last week at half and fell in the second half after their senior QB got injured. Rocky Lombardi (NIU starting QB) was 7/7 last week with a touchdown before he had to leave injured. Per reports he will return to start on Saturday against a Kentucky team that is averaging just a tick over 31 points a game.

I think NIU will score some points in this contest and with the inflated number(26½) I think they can keep it well under the point spread with this senior calling the plays. Mark Stoops was not very pleased with the effort last week vs Youngstown St. Sloppy play led to unforced penalties.

The Wildcats carry some high expectations this year and this could be a bad spot as they travel to Ole Miss next week. Give me the points here with a team that can score.
