True, but Fields isn't all that great either.
I want to give him one year on a different team or decent offensive line before I officially decide

He’s been running for his life his entire time in Chicago

Guy might be the most talented running QB ever

But hard to judge the rest of his game since he’s usually had to tuck it and take off

Not sure how things would be any better with Caleb Williams or any other QB until the OLine is addressed

Peter King - Sports Illustrated

"I suppose the Bears are going to trade the top pick," King wrote. "I know nothing, but that seems to be the way the wind is blowing."

"What I say: The Bears could keep Justin Fields (and should), and trade the first pick down once or twice, and build the kind of supporting cast a team needs to contend," King wrote. "Suppose GM Ryan Poles traded the top pick down one spot to Washington (which would take Caleb Williams), and got the second pick, a second-round pick and a 2025 first-round pick in return.

"Then suppose Poles traded the second pick to Atlanta at eight, and the Falcons picked one of the other quarterbacks. In return, Chicago gets the eighth pick, Atlanta’s second-round pick, and first- and second-round picks next year. Imagine moving from 1 to 8 and ending up with this draft haul:

The eighth and ninth (their own) overall picks in round one this year.

Second-round picks from Washington and Atlanta this year.

Three first-round picks and two second-round picks in 2025."

Good question heads

I would not be surprised if they stick with Fields

Some team is probably going to offer far too much for the 1st pick for Chicago to turn down
CHI town made a mistake last year Wager. Looks like they passed on a franchise QB in Stroud. Yeah they got a haul but CJ would have been the better option. Unless they have serious doubts they don't make that choice again imo.

Confused why Houston made this deal. Doesn't appear any players are included....

EAGAN, Minn. – The Vikings have executed a trade with the Texans to acquire an additional first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Minnesota is sending its 42nd and 188th overall selections this year, along with a second-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, to Houston in exchange for the 23rd and 232nd overall selections this year.

The trade now provides even more flexibility to Vikings General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah early in the three-day event.

The Vikings are slated to have the following nine picks in the upcoming draft:

First round: 11th overall
First round: 23rd overall (from Houston)
