Gotta love it.

Your team fights back to take the lead, and your crappy reliever comes in and gives it right back up in a handful of pitches
Terrible feeling, almost feel like F5 is the way to go in the MLB. Tanko has been taking advantage of it early on.

I wonder how some of these relievers have jobs

Can't tell you how many times this year I've seen a scrub come in and cost his teammates a victory like as soon as they take the mound
I've not crunched the numbers but I've got a feeling relievers, in general, are not doing as well as last year during the 1st month.

When I see a game that I love the starter with, I look over reliever performance very carefully before comitting to full game plays. If in doubt --> F5. I think I've played more F5 in the first 3 weeks this year than I did all of last year.

Yeah but why continue to leave a guy in after he's already hurt your team and the damage keeps getting worse?

It has to piss the rest of the team if at their manager

The letting him take his lumps and learn to get out of it is a poor excuse for basically forefeitting a game in exchange

Yep. IMO Managers are stretching starters and its costing them.
I'm going to run the numbers on innings pitched for starters. This might shed some light on what's happening to start this season.
