A. Let It Ride

B. Place $1k-$2k on Boston College to ensure nice profit

C. Put half on Boston College +17.5 in hopes of hitting both sides of a middle

D. Go for the Gold and place the amount to be won if parlay hits, on Boston College ‘upset’ and ML +550 in which we get paid either $25k, or nothing at all

I just read the first post and haven’t read all the responses.

I remember having a similar situation 5 years or so ago and the bet coming down to Vikings at Saints playoff game where I had Saints ML as final leg. Think it would have payed out close to two dimes. I had risked about $250.

I asked the same question across the street and of course got a wide range of answers. But a wise old sage there, a KVB or LT Profits type. Hell it might have been one of them, asked one simple question, “do you want to make money?”

Ever since then I always think of this when I am in this situation and I think about “going for gold.”

I guaranteed myself a minimum $500 profit back then and have lived by a similar principle ever since.

I am seriously considering FSU-16 and the Over50. I really believe FSU rolls here. Think the Noles got some real pissed off young men in that locker room. I don't care BC got new coach/returning guys etc. The QB is a decent dual threat. However I think I'm going to side with the Noles to come out angry with some pride in the spotlight tonight.

I don’t know how you don’t throw, say $340 on BC +589 (BM) to win $2002.

That makes the margins:

FSU wins you get $4,177. BC upset you get $2002.

For very little risk, you’re guaranteed a two dime win minimum and a $4,177 win max.

I just don’t see the thinking behind not guaranteeing yourself at least a couple grand profit when you’re playing with house money
