WAS, Looking back at the screenshot of the previous dog contest you hosted, there are quite a few players who had winning or .500 records. It had to be harder to pick ML dogs back then. There is a good chance no one will have a winning record in this contest. Are we that bad or were the past years players that much better?

The images you see was the 4th and last year i ran this contest up until now starting again.
I believe year 2 & 3 was even better than #4 when it comes to those finishing in the green and even higher $ won

If you recall a couple of weeks ago I posted in one of the pick-threads that I think players/posters will do much better next year with this contest with one year under their belt

Right now as a group the majority is in the red and picking the biggest ML dogs every week hoping to hit while falling farther down the standings. Either we can’t pick or we don’t care. Either way its been fun. I still don’t understand how loose the players are with getting their plays in before the deadline, when you clearly stated that waiting until kickoff clearly gives an advantage on injuries and inactives. But those late entries are way down in the standings too, so it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

I think it works because some ppl don’t have as much free time as others and those who do can wait until the last minute for major reports and/or line moves

If that’s the case then don’t have a deadline. That was stated in the rules BEFORE anyone signed up. Now without an update it is no big deal when the plays are posted. So some are posting before the deadline and others are posting before the games start. If you care more about players who don’t have time, then drop the deadline. The late posters don’t realize they are wasting their time and yours. Someone made 10 plays last week thinking they will get credit.

I think rules should apply throughout the entire contest.

Humans are going to human. But if you want to be paid in a free contest, stick to the rules.
