Mr. Bobby..... Mr. Bobby.... Stop.On the app? I currently pay about $30 a month but I feel I'm paying too much
Whenever I renew each year I haggle. I've never paid more than $7.98/mo and I've had it for 6+ years on our car's satellite radios.
The first year you get it cheap, introductory rate, and then when it autorenews 1 year later they try to charge you full price $25+/mo. I call (or use online chat - which is easier to haggle using) before renewal and tell them I'm cancelling. They'll offer $18. Say no. They'll offer $12/mo.. Say no. They'll offer $9/mo.. Say no. Then they'll offer it for same price as a new subscriber.
Worst case, they cancel you. I'd be shocked if they did but, if they do, after you wait 30 days, you can sign back up as a new subscriber and get introductory rates for a year and start the process over.
We have a subscription for our cars but we're considering switching to streaming version. Why.... My wife just bought a new SUV and it doesn't have satellite radio (WTH???) so she has to stream XM radio over her phone to the car radio. I guess they starting to eliminate satellite radio in cars since most people use apple car play or similar and the music on their phones.
The streaming version only $4+fees/mo. and you only get access through the app on your phone, ipad, laptop, etc... for two devices at a time. You can bluetooth the app to your car via your phone using apple car play or similar connections.
