He used to be a regular at TheRx back in the day
Always seemed like a decent guy
And if we’ve learned anything - it’s that posters that seem to be (and probably are generally otherwise good people) wouldn’t screw you when it comes to gambling.
Everyone’s a great guy until they owe you money or the plan goes to shit and the planned profit doesn’t work out.
I have no doubt he is a smart person - and personable. You don’t simply get to the corporate level he was without being both - nor do you get to be a paid personality.
But yea - there’s a line between being paid to give your picks out on a forum/radio program or TV show and entertaining - and charging people for the “service”. Look at Jim Cramer on CNBC - he’s entertaining, sometimes insightful and gets paid a lot of money to tell people what to invest in - but he doesn’t have a “side gig” of selling picks (his employer uses his name to sell packages - but he does not do it himself).
Bottom line - if I want an entertaining gambling personality - I’ll follow JJ (free) and if I want picks - I’ll follow posters on BMR who do well at specific sports. I just don’t see that he brings anything to the table better than the posters here do - and to charge up front just makes it less desirable to me.
Like a lot of people - got to separate the “person” from the “personality” - personally I like alot of people - I personally like far fewer “personalities” they maintain for general consumption.
