Nine Years- No NFL

Haven’t watched an NFL game in about 9 years. Used to be a slave to it. Huge chunk of my time watching. Huge chunk of my bankroll losing to it. Huge hangovers Monday morning.

Now, Sundays are spent with family. Church in the morning, dinner together in the afternoon. The NFL seems as popular as ever, yet I don’t miss it one bit.

I guess being a lifelong Jets fan, I still haven’t missed anything.

That is how I was with baseball.

It ALWAYS put a dent in my bankroll, (and screwed up my summers) so I cut it out. Dont miss it one bit, as it turns out...

Went to following & wagering it (NBA) religiously (And Successful 6 out of 7 winning seasons documented on forums) to losing complete interest & giving it up when the league went to trash

A shame they couldn't make it there but a good example as to why cities who can't make it work shouldn't keep getting chances with new teams when there are other deserving cities who should get a shot

Tremendous self-discipline Dalert.

One thing I’ve tried to learn is to take several weeks off when I’m not seeing things well or am not feeling it. The times I’ve done this the last year or so it’s really paid off.

My vice was Nascar. Yep. Was a redneck SOB for several years (probably a decade). Watched every race. I could name every driver and pitcrew boss in all Cup, Busch, Truck series at one time.

Now I just depend on @BigJay to give me winners. I hardly watch the races anymore.
