I am way too nice, but enough is enough. Firing guys is easy and most of them tell me "you're right boss," and they know it's coming a mile away. I am terrified of firing women and that is what's about to happen unfortunately. What better place than BMR to vent and ask for some tips on how to fire/handle women?

it is tough. i had to do it at my last job but it was not my decision which made it worse. my cfo made me do it with our controller (my CFO was a pussy).

i think the best is to be open and honest with back up. people have a hard time defending facts when presented. if the paper says A and A is the reason they are fired, they can't say it is B. i think you get the point.

Be upfront and honest with them. Make sure you’re documenting everything so they can’t come back and give you problems later.
I agree with these!

she works remotely from las vegas. bobby more in danger than me. conversation on phone started with some software telling me that i am being recorded—she didn’t realize it would notify me. i told her that washington is a two party consent to record state and she hung right up lol
Oh wow! Fire her ass, Roofer!

"Is breach of trust enough to fire your employee?"

"Yes, a breach of trust is generally considered a valid, and often sufficient, reason to terminate an employee, particularly when it constitutes gross misconduct or involves dishonesty such as theft, fraud, or serious insubordination.

However, whether it is legally defensible to fire someone for this reason depends on the severity of the breach, the employee's role, and proper documentation".

I'm always very upfront about the fact that employees are bad for business to begin with.

They're costly
They're liabilities w customers
They're a source of theft
They're not as productive as AI

So they key is to limit their ability towards COBRA or any matching 401 / DB or UI claims.

In smaller businesses you can just give a female staffer $200 to make a harassment claim. Gives you cause to fire on the spot, no renumeration.
