Had family in singapore last week. They stayed at the ritz. Said top 3 hotel theyve stayed at in the world.

Singapore has a lot of great hotels. Mandarin Oriental, Marina Bay Sands, Fullerton, Pan Pacific, Ritz-Carlton, InterContinental, Raffles, the Four Seasons.

Pretty expensive though.

I didn't stay at Raffles but I stayed just across the street from it at the Carlton. They have a nice coffee shop in the courtyard there which is full of eclectic shops.

Here is the menu of the place.



Each cup is brewed separately. Here's the pretty Singaporean girl making my cup.

They don't have the down and dirty ones like in Vietnam but they have Geylang where each house is its own ethnicity and each ethnicity are different prices. Mongering in Singapore is very fun, done it often..

No, they don't have those. Like Illini said, they have the Geylang District where they have individual houses. It's all legal and condoms must be used or they risk losing their license.

There are also other areas in the city-state where you can procure prostitutes as well.

Or you can take a 60 minute ferry ride to Batam, Indonesia from Harbourfront Marina and pay $50 there vs. $200 in Singapore.

I actually had that. Not the monkey brains, the coffee. It was pretty good.

Or as the Singaporeans call it, kopi, which is a Malaysian word. They have shops called Kopitiam which means "coffee shop".

I know I've probably posted these before. I'm getting older and forgetful. But this thread is almost 1000 pages long now so I'm pretty sure some people reading this thread haven't seen these pictures.

These are at the infinity pool on the top of the Marina Bay Sands hotel. The pool overlooks the Marina Bay.

I was just there, I went to the Vietnamese, Thai, Laos houses, $60 is standard now, a few had some Chinese for $100.
