I think Jerry thought Diggs was going to be his Patrick Surtain, Derek Stingley Jr., shutdown corner for a decade when he signed him to that $97 million deal two years ago.

He definitely wasn’t that and just couldn’t stay on the field. I think the final straws were that strange concussion that occurred at home at cost him most of the second half of the season.

Then a blow-up apparently because Diggs wanted to stay with family in the area after the game at Washington for the holidays and coach denied the request.

wish they’d have spent a few more dollars and used they money to sign Parsons instead

Diggs is a INT or Bust type of CB. A few years ago he led the league in INTs, then year after he gave up most receiving yards
Sam as a fellow Cowboys fan you think Dallas should have put a package together to try and get Sauce and Quenin Williams since they had so many number ones next two seasons?

That’s what I thought at the time those trades were going down.

Or would the price have been too steep? (Likely three of their four number ones next two drafts)
