My Grandfather on my father's side was designing cars for Chrysler in the late 30's. His brother convinced him to join the Nazi party, where he was instructed by Adolf Hitler to do the graphics for The 1932 and 1936 Olympic's. All Nazi books were burned after the war , except those kept in hiding. In 1973 , prior to passing ,20251109_083349.jpg my grandmother sent the 3 books and my grandfather's General uniform, as the oldest living male in the family. With today's game being played in the same stadium , thought these old pics of Jesse Owen's were cool.

Where did you grandfather live at the time?
Berlin

He was stationed in Poland as a General when the war ended. He came home for a weekend leave near the end of the war and was never seen again. It was believed that he headed out on a Submarine towards Argentina. It took 7 years to get him declared dead by the German Gov't , so my grandmother could collect his benefits.

Was the thinking the sub never made it or perhaps he made it to Argentina and just had to go into hiding (name change, etc)

Obviously I’m sure no one knows for certain
