I’d say send him and a few other BMR posters on a tour of middle/high schools to warn youngsters on the dangers - but let’s be honest. There has to be at least a few court orders keeping them from coming within 1000’ of any school.
Welcome back Jeffrey

Gambling is addictive and for more than the reason you think (the rush of a win).

Read the recent article out about the addictive nature of revenge and how the brain activity associated with it is in line with reactions to the most powerful opiates.

You play - you lose - you chase. Chasing is “getting revenge” in the mind. You’re getting back what you lost and taking a toll of revenge on the house for taking your money to start. It’s mentally draining and the exact reason why a real gambler must be very well centered mentally and in control of their emotions and mental state.

See those guys standing around the simulcast or sportsbook screaming at a TV and tossing stuff. You know they are not professionals and are long term losers. To be a winner you must be centered and in control at all times. Whatever it takes - meditation, meds, sex, hobbies - do what it takes to control your stress and stability or stay away from gambling.

Forum is a better place with you around

Thanks - I think it’s just because I break the tie when I’m here between the number of “normal” posters and the number of nutcases, psychopathic liars/stiffs and radical racist.

I’m not sure which side of the column I fall into - but it’s nice we have a majority.
