The NBA has always been about entertainment. I'm still entertained so I watch even though the game is not the same as it was during it's golden era of the 80's and 90's and it may never be the same because everybody wants to shoot threes now that euroball made that popular not to mention Steph Curry and analytics. I love shooting but they take it to the extreme and that's why you have these games that see both teams scoring 120+.

Isn’t it ironic how back in the era you mentioned they talked about how European players starting to come over weren’t tough enough & played no defense, and now the entire league of American players is exactly that
