The Big 12 and ACC could get two teams in this year which leaves fewer at large bids. I could see it happening this year. If Bama loses to Georgia Saturday they will already have 2 losses and Georgia would have the head to head and fewer loses. No SEC championship game appearance for Alabama.

After Georgia on Sat, their next 2 matches are also against undefeated teams..

I think a 2 loss team could miss the playoff from the SEC.

I’ve not looked over the schedule but there could easily be more than 2, two loss teams in SEC. So one could miss the playoffs.

IMO the SEC is the best football conference (sure we can argue over that) and will get more deference from the committee when it comes to picking playoff teams.

I definitely think Bama is out of it if they lose to Georgia even if they win out. They definitely won’t be in the SEC championship game. Both of those championship game participants will make it.
