Nothing to worry about with us Americans. We would put up too much of a fight and we wouldn't go along with them if we were taken to another country. Besides, the US government would send someone in to look for us.

Not so sure about that , but it is very misleading , people are not getting kidnapped off of the street, that is not happening. People are going there for a job, and the job turns out to be in a scam call center, their passport is taken away , they are learned to do romance scams, forced labor/ human trafficking. If I went there for a job, it could happen to me too, nobody would come to get me. I have a friend who works for Interpol here in Hanoi. All his division is , is going to Myanmar, Campuchia and targeting scam call centers but there are too many of them and they can't rescue anyone. It is extremely safe to visit and have fun there, there is nobody getting kidnapped, it is forced labor, coming under false pretenses.
