Since when did editing the thread feature to the title of post not allowed if we make an error while posting we can't edit or is it only me?

Yeah I just fukked up a title and went to fix it and it wouldn't let me.

It used to let me before.

Now I gotta be careful like some kind of spelling fag.

Hahahha yeah only allows polls now with the other option choice. There's no edit option

Yeah it sucks can’t do it either, had fun changing a title thread last week.

many of us have brought this issue up to Genie. She’s asked the tech group about it.

Haven’t heard anything yet.

It changed with the latest software change a week or two ago.

Moderating was much tougher years ago when forums were the only game in town now it’s a different type

As you know I've been around the forums for years, I believe I was patient long before I became a moderator. That's just me and my style. It's nothing you can really teach

Where do you wanna moderate at here? @JDS I used to run a forum that I will not disclose here. Let's just say from a respected person in the offshore industry. Without saying names @JDS you are probably are the only one here that knows who that person is. I know a lot about @BobbyFK Job for one you have to see things differently than a regular poster does and when a problem arrises look at it in a fair and professional way and not take sides or take anything personally.

The time limit to edit posts & thread titles has always been 5-15 minutes at every forum I've been at

That's for various reasons, some of them being obvious

With much of the tech work that's been going on at BMR for some time now, the settings have not been consistent

Now set where they are supposed to be

And I try my best to act in a fair and impartial way without getting too caught up in the day-to-day drama

Yet there will always be a few who will give you a hard time

If you are strict like shari, optional, The General, and others, some posters will rag you for that

If you are more lenient & easy going, they take advantage of it

In 20+ years I've been lucky and have had only 5-6 give me a hard time at TheRX, EOG, SBR, and now BMR, with a couple of them being solely here at the latter
