AOL is ending its dial-up service, disconnecting from the 1990s' internet era

AOL said it will discontinue its dial-up service and "associated software" on Sept. 30.

i have great memories of being in college and talking thru instant messenger at night with all the people i knew. it was like a party. i would finish talking to my gf on the phone and then go online and chat with other girls from classes.

then the chatrooms were great as well. before catfishing when girls were actually hooking up and willing to meet at your house or their house and you didn't worry about a set up. i had a a couple of "big boned gals" who would take care of me whenever i messaged them. looking back i was kind of a scumbag.

i did meet one woman with a hairy nipple. grossed me the hell out.

anyone still have aol email address? i did until 2 years ago. i used it for all solicitations from stores and such. then i forgot the password and they made it impossible to reset.

I use AOL email as my junk folder. When you have to give an email address to someone you don't want spamming you this works.
