In Japan, some public toilets are made with transparent glass walls that instantly turn opaque when the door is locked — blending futuristic design with hygiene and safety. Located in places like Tokyo’s Shibuya district, these smart restrooms allow passersby to see that the facility is clean and empty before entering.

Once inside, electrochromic technology is activated, frosting the glass for complete privacy. The concept addresses two major concerns with public restrooms — cleanliness and security — while also becoming an architectural attraction. Designed by renowned architects as part of the Tokyo Toilet Project, these facilities are brightly lit, accessible, and regularly maintained.

This innovative approach not only enhances public trust in hygiene but also makes urban spaces more inviting and safe.
Japan is way ahead of us!

Take a look at some of the comments. :D

I can only go on my experience and what I've heard from others, but this doesn't seem to be true.

I used to work in a place that was 70% Filipino (Southern California) and about 70% of the Filipina women working there were divorced. Again, just my experience but this is in line with what I've heard from others. Maybe not 70% but still, it was a lot.

I'm so glad I don't feel the need to have a wife or girlfriend.
For real.. Maybe the one who did this video is a Filipina lol

Can you mention a few reasons why, Po? I know a lot of friends who want to visit Japan.
It is nice there, a lot of people love it. I just prefer South East Asian countries,, Japan, China, South Korea, don't have anything close in resemblance to SEA countries, the culture, the style, the way of life etc etc. It is cool to go visit , just wasn't for me. I need the atmosphere of SEA countries. If I never experienced SEA then maybe I would like it more, but there are no countries in the world in my opinion than the majority of SEA countries. You should go check it out , Po.

I see.. I'm so curious about their culture and that's one thing I want to experience there, po. I cannot afford to live there, but yes, a vacation is a dream.
