Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is a captain for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game, which will take place in Indianpolis next month. She earned that honor by receiving a record-setting 1,293,536 fan votes, the most of any player -- not just this year, but in any single year in WNBA history.

Clark's outsized popularity with fans is no secret, as is the fact that a segment of her fellow players do not share that enthusiasm. The latter was once again confirmed on Monday when the league revealed the voting results for the All-Star Game starters

She’s a great player but has 1/10 of the talent of Lisa Leslie.

She could have a deal on the table tomorrow from big business backers in starting another league or even playing overseas making tens or hundreds of millions of dollars

I know her fans don't want to hear this but her numbers compared to other guards are down. Her shooting has been bad for her and she turns it over too much plus she's been hurt. Other guards in the league have been doing their thing so they're getting recognition that they otherwise wouldn't get because the media chooses to focus on Caitlin Clark who hasn't played all that great this year.

99% absolutely because of the color of her skin and the other 1% because she got so much attention as a rookie compared to the vets

She wants to be the bigger & better person by sucking it up & enduring the hate, but enough is enough she needs to leave then hanging high & dry

i feel like clark has been battling injuries more than she is letting on. i think there is a lot of jealousy as mentioned.

clark is the only reason i paid more attention to the wnba. now i see some other really good players and some hotties so i am staying but clark got me here. i also like paige bueckers and hope she becomes really good as she is pretty damn good already.

Yes because she's shooting 29% from three as well as among the league leaders in turnovers and other guards are having better years than her believe it or not. It doesn't help that she's missed most of her teams games either. If she played the whole season she's easily top 5 in the guard rankings but she's been out.
