Yes, and always on the Championship series. When I used to throw all the time, in the late eights up until early 2000's you could not earn a living just playing tournaments. Now some of those guys make million+ each year.
Genie since this is a group event probably not, but for the PDC championships most big books will all have them.
I played for many years and traveled all around the country to tournaments each weekend. So, I enjoy it, wish I had never stopped.

Genie, we are still years behind, when it comes to darts. USA has made some big jumps over the last 30 to 35 years. Image Europe trying to compete with an all-European team in the NFL. I think we are doing better than they would, but they still own the sport.
Yes, we are both from Alabama. I live in Tennessee now and have since 1990. I live 5 miles from where I grew up in Alabama. (My mother still lives in the house my parents bought in 1971.) I've never beat Roger he is very good. Saw where his son made a major final last year, but Gates beat him in the finals.

I got smashed by him at a tournament in Vegas, probably close to 20 years ago now. He was the best player I’d ever seen at the time and is still the best player I’ve ever played.
