Speaking of picking battles The KVB MLB Contrarian Fund has picked up MIA +235 over LAD

I have enough of a position here that is considered an open position and I intend to close it with an LAD buy LIVE. We have identified this game as a decent candidate for this type of trade.

But not going to sell back at LAD -200.

Tie game, 9th inning, and I have an outsized position on a +235 dog.

Tried to get LAD +124, +114, and even at +270 but couldn't.

Fuk.

Can lay -120 though, so I am in the money.

Passed on LAD -130 now they have the winning run on 1st.

I said this trade was to buy Miami then when they take the lead and then to buy LAD.

I may be making a mistake here, and I still might buy LAD.

But can't say I didn't have my chances.

It's all about being able to identify the games that will do this, even if some go off with nothing more than a freeroll.

A more disciplined trade would have sold out for the freeroll or tiny profit on LAD and then just walked away.

Just a little education here, at my expense.
