It's less often the sportsbook and more often in the credit card processor they use.

That's where the real risk lies. I think it was 5dimes that ended up with a shady processor once and one time every card put up across multiple accounts was compromised like the same day.

It was crazy, but the banks all reversed the charges as the cards were compromised.

Both times it happened for me, which was a while ago I must say the banks did not automatically reverse the charge. I had to call the fraud department and tell them these chargers were not valid. They were separate charges not related to the sportsbook. They were Uber eats related in Costa Rica. Which leads me to believe it was an employee.

Yeah. nothing was automatic with the banks either, we had to call, report the card stolen, then reverse the obviously shady charges from all around the world.
