If its not a huge win then....
Take the wife out for a REALLY NICE night on the town.
$200-$300 dinner, maybe a movie or dancing and of course flowers.
If it's a really big hit like you had Djeff, I'd buy the wife some expensive "things" and probably send $5k to each of my kids.
Used to grab a bottle of something allocated or different everytime I went on a vacation or work trip.
Kept them down in the office - not a big drinker - but would always get a bonus after each work trip or a per diem that I wouldn’t spend (because I’m cheap as hell when traveling for work). Got to the point that had so many bottles behind my desk on display and when COVID hit and we had to do the zoom calls -my boss asked me if I had a drinking problem.
At that point I decided to stop accumulating booze that I had no chance of drinking. Stuff is meant to be enjoyed - not stored like some collectible. That’s my problem with many bourbon “collectors” running up prices on stuff. I mean I personally wouldn’t pay $100 for a shot of 10 yo Pappy - but whatever floats your boat. A nice rye or good beer every now and then works well for me and the entire night out cost less than $100 usually including a few drinks/meal and tip.
