Wow! SS, you have a lot of medical issues, I'm sorry to hear that. But what is the main cause of this and how to prevent it?
it happened early morning on July 13th 2013 I was in bed just getting up I remember. Than this pain shot down my left side. Pain level it was a 10 the worst. Crawled to the phone I couldn’t walk. Took me to hospital. Had a couple surgeries. Since it happened early must have been from sleeping than lack of movement.

Wow. Looks like it could happen to anyone.

Keep moving exercise is best advice.
Athletes keep moving and are very active. But still no escape.

the low resting heart rate and frequent air travel make some professional thletes susceptible to it.

otherwise I see it most often following hip and knee replacements

Did Wemby have a shoulder injury? I don't think he did.

Crazy this happened. Even if some are susceptible, it's still rare.

Do any use blood thinners for this purpose? We just don't see it much.

Imagine having a Wemby DPOY ticket preseason odds

Was almost a given and now it’s worthless

would have been awesome to have a 2-minute head start before this news broke nationally to grab a few players who will now be DPOY faves at tremendous odds

San Anotonio traveled 37,852 miles by all star break.

That was the most for any team.

Despite all the travel Dr. Brian Sutterer doesn't think it was travel because it's in the shoulder.

Suggestion is that he had thoracic outlet syndrome due to repetitive compression and stress on the vein below the clavicle.

Clot in shoulder of shooting arm.
