The part to measure on reciprocal tariffs is that they don't cover everything. For example "services".

Steel, corn, beef, etc... are all easily measured as far as what needs to be tariffed because they are tangible items.

But what about "services" (think cloud computing, financal services, etc...)? That is not an easily measured "commodity" yet the US provides more "services" to other countries than anyone else in the world AND is getting richer and richer providing these services that are not tariffed by others.

If you count the disparity in how much GDP/money the US realizes from the services provided to other countries and combine it with the imbalance in the "commodity" piece, the total trade between many countries would be more balanced.

Just something to consider.
Like I said, I don't like the booing but, I understand their reasoning.
