I'm not sure why they are doing it but it kind of looks a little like desperation. I have to believe traffic is waaaay down and maybe this "carrot" will stave off some of the exodus.

They've had a number of site connectivity issues. Seems like every Friday something new comes up.

There has been numerous promises of getting things "fixed" but its been 5 months and its still a struggle.

At BMR --> No technical issues.

I think this is a clever way of doing away with SBR Pro. They do not seem that clever though so probably not.

if every single person is a pro, there is no way they can reopen the store at a later date with the same prices

Probably means the store is not opening anytime soon and they are not that interested in the SBR Pro concept so let everyone go PRO and then when you get things the way you want, you have everyone set for prizes. SBR Pro was just a way of paying for volume. They do not need to pay for volume.
