Alabama Crimson Tide land at No. 11 in the CFP's rankings

Barring an upset in Saturday's ACC title game between Clemson and SMU, Alabama might be headed back to the College Football Playoff for the ninth time in the past 11 seasons, as the Crimson Tide were ranked No. 11 in the latest CFP rankings on Tuesday.

Boise at 10 in the AP rankings. To me if they lose, they drop out and either UNLV or Army squeeze in as the 12 seed.

The crazy part about that would be the B12 team would get a bye at the #4 seed in playoffs.

The 4 likely major conference champions could all have played in a difference conference 1 year ago.

• Big10 likely champion: Oregon (PAC-12 last year).
• ACC likely champion: SMU (Altantic Coast Conf last year)
• B12 likely champion: Ariz St. (PAC-12 last year)
• SEC likely champion: Texaxs (B12 last year)
