#4 ranked Kentucky on the road at unranked Clemson and only have to lay -130 on the far superior talent ?

This has to be the biggest trap offered yet by the books - right ?

I get ranked road team vs unranked opponents have been traditionally prone to upset - but this has to be an attempt to grab back every dollar the squares took from bookies on Saturday and then some.

I haven’t looked yet - but imagine the public is 90+ percent on Kentucky here. Staying FAR away I think.

Duquesne has won a single game.

Granted St Pete’s is hardly a heavyweight- but did cover in their loss to Rutgers only losing by 10 on the road and guaranteed Rutgers has more talent than the boys from Pittsburgh do.

I’m going to look into this one a little deeper - but agree only 4’ looks low - Duquesne clearly the better team and at home.

They're not bigger favorites because Clemson is tough at home and this is Kentucky's first road test. Yes they beat Duke but that was a neutral site and since then they haven't played anybody. As a Cats fan I hope they win tonight but it's not going to be easy because Clemson is actually solid and they play better at home.

Line has come down from a 2 to 2.5 favorite. This movement eased some of the Contrarian Fund pressure I see here and even with the movement, Clemson is still lighting up the contrarian radar.

Now I’m questioning myself. I played Clemson

I don't see how Clemson can be contrarian when most of the sharp players are on them today. Most of the action is public action on Kentucky it seems but the sharps are on Clemson.

These, along with many other reasons, are precisely why Clemson lights up as a contrarian play.

This game, from that market perspective, is in a couple ways similar to N'Western at Iowa, except that the latter has a more meaningful moneyline.

In that one, I've already triggered Northwestern +5.5 in a couple of Funds, including the Contrarian strategy.

It can be the case, at least in my contrarian market metrics and the ones that make up the Contrarian Fund, that us market moving sharps can be on the Contrarian side. Shit, it's also the case that us market moving sharps aren't always on the same side. It's about the number, and the number can move and the market can be manipulated.

Just splitting "sharps" vs "public" can be too simplistic.
