Soon to be the Crimson Tide fans talking about the Saban days.
Has any program in history been historically so good - came crashing down harder and then rose back up only to repeat the fall so quickly than ‘Bama ?
Maybe USC ?
Notre Dame was as high - but didn’t have such a downfall - just kinda stuck in mediocrity.
Nobody else had such a run of dominance as ‘Bama with Bryant - then the wheels just started falling in the early 90s before Saban saved them.
Now that everyone’s able to pay everyone and transfer portal is an option - suddenly they are struggling. Big10 schools have the donors to compete and being able to give transfers immediate starting jobs and the opportunity to play in meaningful games throughout November and NFL level coordinators is a big boost.
