That's what I thought you meant, but it goes back to the pound of feathers and pound of sand.

You're trying to compare a bucket of feathers being equall to a bucket of sand, but in sports we have to normalize and make the two comparable, like weighing them.

If there is a 50-50 chance they score 3 points, and there is a 50-50 chance they get 3 yards, they are both 50-50 chances.

The chances are equal.

Now if we start changing numbers, like the chances of gaining 10 yards vs scoring 150 points, you can see one is obviuosly easier.

I suppose we can step back and look at the big picture and say that it's obvious it is easier to gain yards than score points.

Some teams gain hundreds of yards but never score.

I've never seen a full game box score where the team scored points without gaining any yards.

That's why I said it would be a bad beat. Obviously it's only bad beat based on how it comes, like say he gets penalties or PI's that negate his yards or some shit like that.

But yeah, if it comes down to 13 or 14 yards and the 12.5 would have paid but the 14.5 doesn't, that would be some serious bullshit, lol.
