He’s not going to make it. He’s been through cardiac arrest four times, and now his ribs are broken and bleeding. On top of that, we just found out he has stage 4 cancer. I’m heading to California to say goodbye to my Dad.

The final joke was on my dad. He's about to receive the Presidential Memorial Certificate for his military service, a certificate signed by the sitting President.
My dad was always very right, and while it’s still an honor, we couldn’t help but laugh imagining what he’d have to say about it.
