Sorry - but today should be a national paid day off work.

We will honor things like Juneteenth - which effected the ancestors of like 4% of our nation (remember - there were plenty of free slaves living in the US prior to the civil war and not every person of African ancestry was in this country pre civil war) - but an event that effected EVERYONE gets a few memorial events and no official recognition.

What are we afraid of - offending the terrorist ?!?
