Caitlyn Clark doesn’t suck, but she has been disappointing

How about the ticket prize for CC's game?Attendance with Clark games is about 17,000
Non-Clark games about 7000
So selecting a team should be based on popularity and not merit?Leaving her off the Olympic team probably the biggest mistake in sports history
She’s the most popular basketball player on the planet
Not one person’s even gonna watch women’s basketball if she’s not there
It would’ve been the number one watch the event even if she just played 10 minutes a game
Bad decision after bad decisions
So selecting a team should be based on popularity and not merit?

She’s obviously can play on that team
This is their chance to showcase the sport world wide. Nobody’s gonna watch it now. I’m sure not.
She “could”She’s obviously can play on that team

She hasn’t earned it ON THE COURT
It’s good the sport is getting more attention
But I don’t really get how people can watch her and say she’s lived up to the hype so far
Fouling and physicality aside
This.Big jump from college to WNBA - the physical play takes some getting used to.
For all those unfamiliar with women’s basketball - overall it’s a more physical game anyway and WNBA looks more like a late 70s NBA than the present era - players are not afraid to make a hard foul.
It will take time for her to adjust - and for the team to get the right personnel around her. She’s a good pure shooter. She’s not going to be able to bang with the bigger and more physical players.
The MJ comparison is just not reasonable - other than hype - they are very different players. Remember - MJ needed guys like Oakley early in his career to play enforcer. Later he has such a talented crew around him and the league on his side no one was gonna foul him hard.
Again - she will be good and good for the league. She will not be head and shoulders better than anyone else in the league anytime soon - she wasn’t that in college so why would she be that now ? How many women’s programs are there in division 1 - 160 or so ? That’s a lot more teams than talent - whereas the WNBA is a pretty concentrated league and pulling more and more talent.
Her career is WEEKS old now - let’s not jump to calling it a complete bust - just because some halfwits on the internet were ready to hand her the crown a few months ago.
