So I’m traveling for 7 days down to the south of Việt Nam , I am headed to Campuchia for the opening of the SEA games. Going to Việt Nam and Lao soccer the 30th. I flew down to Huế yesterday. Lots of history here from the war with the French and America. It’s a small city of around 700,000 people. If you ever come to Việt Nam it’s a must. The culture here is nothing like where I’m from in the North.

So I am in central Vietnam and came across an abandoned place with a bunch of war planes and tanks. Nobody around, not a museum just are here. In America no way in hell you could get in or climb on historical artifacts , planes , tanks.

I ventured to Hương Thủy today. Very small city around 90,000. Lots of history and culture here. Lots of battles here as well. Very peaceful. Got invited to a locals house for lunch. They wouldn’t take no for an answer. They tried to force me to drink with them. I don’t drink a fun time.

Had a great talk with him today. He was Việt Cộng and was a part of The Tet Offensive , it was very interesting talking by with him. He told me that 3 of his family members died , they were supporting the Americans and fighting for the south. Very cool guy and got to pick his brain.
