Owning a gun is a big responsibility and I don't judge others for not wanting one.Never owned a gun. Probably never will. No reason for me to have one
Knock on the wood! But yes, it's always better to be prepared and ready.I never owned a gun, but I have shot one at a gun range a couple times. I usually just keep a 7 iron by my bed side & a pitching wedge in the trunk of my car incase God forbid things get a little hairy.

remember to focus on the front sight. It should stick out like a sore thumb or Lolly pop.
take some slack out of the trigger before firing first round.
Then control that trigger by only allowing it to come forward a little..

I agree. I can't count how many incidents have already been reported on the range, there's a lot for sure.Problem is gun safety is atrocious in many people and have even seen in it range instructors. "Gun is always considered loaded never put finger near the trigger and never pass the barrel across anything unless you want or are willing to destroy it."
