Something different might be an elimination contest.

Have participants pick each bowl winner (straight up - not ATS), in order of them being played (you'd have to provide the master game list with time/date). People would make all their picks for games beforethe first bowl game.

When they don't hit a winner for a game, they are out. This keeps going until one person is left. The tie-breaker, if needed, for the last 2, 3, or 4 that end up losing on the same game is --> whomever posted their picks first wins.

The only downside is, it would probably end with a winner, well before New Years day.
