Watching the Twins game

Rod Carew is in the booth looking good though he does have a bit of a pot belly but.
Seven batting titles his bat was a wand.
Typical of us older guys he said baseball has changed and not for the better. Grumpy old man lol.
Would be nice to have his baseball cards though huh.

Had a big heart issue years ago. He hangs in Ft Myers during the Fantasy Camp run by my buddy Stan Dickman, grumbles about current guys.

I think Carew has a ton of home steals too, another lost art

i was too young to remember him as a player and wasn't on my tv stations back than but knew him from the baseball cards only late in his career.

Of course you have a friend named Stan Dickman. Must have been a great name to grow up with at some stages and a terrible one at other times. Finding a wife to take on that last name must not have been easy
