Archie's win on Duke total last night was a good call but last year i started to notice this...
As always in college basketball when a team is down 10-20 points with 1-3 minutes left, you see the losing team go into intentional foul mode
If the winning team missed free throws and/or the team down hit a 3 next trip down court, they would continue to foul of course as there is hope
If that scenario didn't work, the team down by double digits would then pretty much concede
BUT NOW....many of these teams & kids continue to foul relentlessly despite the game essentially being over
Either there is no give-up these days or they are merely trying to get back on offense to try & pad their stats
What bothers me even more is the coaches allowing it
At some point you tell your guys "Stop fouling" & acknowledge the game is over
This new trend is affecting a lot of sides & totals
