This is always a great tournament and it is held in Austin, Texas. Lots of great excitement and story lines in these matches. Pegula is the 2025 Champion and she performed as expected today to win another tournament.

Key notes here are it is a hardcourt surface that has just. been resurfaced. Players have noted that they prefer when the courts have been recently resurfaced as their spins will be more effective.

The ATX Open is the spiritual successor of the Texas Tennis Open, a tournament held at the Hilton Lakes Tennis & Sports Club in Grapevine, Texas in 2011 and 2012. Although the Texas Tennis Open took place in August, the ATX Open has switched things up to the calendar’s early months while still carrying on the sport’s legacy in the lone star state. Past singles winners include Marta Kostyuk and Yuan Yue. Doubles winners include the teams of Erin Routliffe/Aldila Sutjiadi and Olivia Gadecki/Olivia Nicholls.

Pegula is playing at the top of her game but she has some family issues that is taking her time at the moment. I don't expect her to be a big factor, if at all. I sent you on Whatsapp that article about what is happening with her on a personal level. It is hard to bet against her right now, Nonetheless, this is going to be an exciting tournament and I expect our resident "advanced" trader @KVB to have a successful tournament as well.
