Closed most of this for .40 cents @ a -26% loss.

Small position here but, at these levels and amounts, if they cover the +13.5 I will recover the earlier loss on this spread.

Tomorrow will be a challenge. I won't be in the office. I have a rule about trading outside the office. Took some Big10 Totals for granted when I left the house, they failed while I was in a School District meeting, I got pissed and revenge traded during that meeting, on the phone. I lost, big.

Fukk. My wife was pissed, a lot of folks were pissed, lol.

New rule, I can trade while away, but I can only sell. No buying allowed.

Tomorrow will be a challenge because I have some golf, Olympic hockey, and probably some basketball that I will have to deal with. Debating a limit order strategy and if shit happens it happens...that includes losing or not winning what could have been won.

Not sure the trading plan but will be a scorer at our regional Science Bowl tomorrow, lol.

Big question is, will I break my rule tomorrow? I could map out golf, I could set conditions, I could break a fukkin rule. I could.

Like I said, tomorrow will be a challenge.

No, not usually it depends on the individual position and why I'm entering.

Review after review continues to show that I hold positions too long and should be selling when up more often.

Get green and get out should be the motto.

With some markets you can take a huge position and a 10 cent rise can be pretty big. If I'm growing a small account, I might take profit quicker than if I'm sitting on a larger one that can absorb some variance.

But truthfully, one big position a day with one small rise could be all you need.

I can tell the games where a team will make a push, but I've noticed a lot of times that push comes late. Auburn was a good example. I expected the push, but saw the possiibility of it happening late...

I have limit orders in for Auburn, but if I trigger, they might go down early.

So only partial positons for now, but nothing filled yet.

These could drop before they get better, if they get better.

This still isn't a full position. Not giving back the earlier gains.

Auburn trailed huge before going on a 5 minute 17-1 run late in the second half, that push I was looking for eventually came, Auburn still lost.

Now imagine taking a huge position in Auburn, looking for the bump, then going down 20 for most of the game.

So I think we have to be very careful about taking a big position for a few cent scalp.

But it is certainly in the cards.

Another issue in my reviews is that I still take that pregame position even when the chances of trailing early are high.

I need to do partials, like that Auburn game, in those situations. I think with my probabilties the math works out to wait on some games to fill that postion.

But it can be hard to do because if you think a play is good, you think it should work from the beginning.

That's just not how the algorithm works.

If it did, there would be no need for patience in sports betting.
