Oddly - was reading about the original truck from that show the other day.

After the series concluded - it actually wound up in a real junkyard. Probably bought it for advertise purposes - but as the 80s wore on and it lost its appeal - passed through a few owners.

Fortunately - no one tried to “restore” it - keeping it in its original beat to hell look. It’s been maintained well the last decade - but still looks much as it did on the show.

I guess they didn't really know what they had back then in order for it to end up in a junk yard. I'm glad it has been restored.

The Partridge Family bus also had the same fate. I read up on it when I started painting my school bus/RV with the same pattern.

Saw it earlier - sucks.

F cancer.

Better actor than he gets credit for on that show. Had a pretty rocky relationship with Redd - but you’d never have known it the way they interacted on the show.
I agree Jeff. I read his story a little while ago when I wondered what he was up to. I think he had a bad bout with drugs and eventually became a preacher.

But you're right, he and Redd had a rocky relationship.

Here's the article I read about him previously from December of last year.
