Same game parlays are not regular parlays yet for some reason the consuming public insists on denying that what they bought is what they get.

Mickey mouse low limit proposition bets like a same game parlay are going to be just that, Mickey mouse.

When they make up bets, new bets, like same game parlays, they can put any fine print they want.

While it seems so shady on the face of it, I think the bigger problem is that bettors aren't playing with a realistic expectation of the rules, because they aren't reading the rules.

There aren't industry norms for these bets, even if large companies have been doing them for a few years so it's not right to say any bettors are getting "screwed" until they can play this out before regulators.

My feel is that regulators will tell bettors to read the the house rules before playing.

Maybe public outcry, even if not warranted, will lead to some ESPN Bet charity for the bettor and eventually a rule change.

So these were correlated parlays???
I've since a lot of Tiktok videos on ESPNbet, all ripping it for stuff like this. Not one has indicated that is was not allowed. Obviously they are leaving that out to make some drama and get views.

Thanks for clarifying KVB.

SGP is correlated in some form or another.

Draftkings doesn't????
I'm not on either book but I'm curious.
In the event a Same Game Parlay contains at least one (1) selection, other than a selection containing a Non-Participating Player, which is settled as void, then the whole Same Game Parlay will be settled as void, irrespective of whether the Same Game Parlay contains other winning or losing selections, unless the game associated with the Same Game Parlay is abandoned. This is DraftKings rule.

Same game parlays could most certainly have correlated legs, but I wouldn't say they aren't allowed.

The SGP made it allowed, but changed payout odds, limits, etc. to mitigate any correlations. Some SGP won't allow every type of bet in the parlay, avoiding some correlations.

But yeah, these aren't just run of the mill parlays with funky rules, these are same game offers, so they are bound to have some funny rules.

I admire, sometimes, the big advertising companies dressing up like bookmakers, like DK and FD, for even offering some of these parlays even if it's a rip off to the bettor. Sometimes...lol

lol most usa books garbage
not all but most

Keep as many outs as possible, Gold.

Remember, there are things to weigh here. It's a number we want, in general it doesn't matter who deals it or where it's picked up.

That said, we'll assume they pay since it's US we're talking about, it can be more trouble than it's worth to get down at some books and even when you do, you may not be able to in the future. The effort and risk of dealing with some books, that squeeze, may not be worth juice you get out of it...sometimes literally the juice you get out of it.

It's something that has to be weighed very carefully but for vitutally everyone out there, the general advice of having as many outs as you can is the way to go.

But for every new US book relationship, you simple MUST pour over their rules. Even if it's the same book you've been dealing with but in a different state, you MUST hit the rules again.

Within the same house many rules are universal among states, but some rules will differ, especially in terms of bonuses, limits, and even risk management.

States can be very different in their rule and regulation requirements as well, leading to small changes in house policy.
