Why take a risk at losing his batting prowess with another arm injury??

Tough call on this one. Elite pitcher. Very elite batter. Paid $700,000,000 for him.

I'm thinking you take the risk that if there is a pitching injury it won't stop him from batting. Not likely but could happen. Also, you have to go with the odds that he won't be injured again at all.

Leaving him out of the rotation leaves a decent hole to fill, although the Dodgers don't seem to be scared to buy elite players and screw the salary cap rules so.....
