i like watching live numbers better to get a play, but everyone had his own way of doing it, but yea i go to live events to watch action with no money on the line
So your question is, "Do all the televised games drive more bets?" I think with Joe Q Public, this is the case.
I take the opposite approach.
If there is a great game on (PHI/DAL,...), I will pass on it to watch a game that I have a bet on. I like to watch the games that I've got some money on to understand if I read the teams wrong or maybe I missed something. Its kind of a way to educate myself to be a better capper longer-term.
I just watch live lines to get some value or buyback on better lines if need be. Im always looking for an opportunity or value live. Every now and then I'll watch some games though. But I'm not watching the games as much as I used too back in the day when it was only offshores around. That's not the case anymore. Watching live lines let's me know what's actually going on in a game without many delays.
The game on tv I bet on last night I didn’t even watch so it’s a clear “no“ for me. Most games I bet on I don’t even watch. It’s the games I don’t bet I watch more of strangely as that may sound. If a game is on TV, it has absolutely no bearing if I gamble.
