With all the big Money in sports today, do you think the player plays harder or less

depends on the sport, situation and player i guess. don't know, just many stuff to consider but yap money can motivate players to do more. money and fame.

Great question Ck. I think as the player gets older & is in the middle or down side of his career. This is a more prevalent type thing for these players after already being a millionaire many times over.

He doesn't even come back on D sometimes. Then you have other, lower paid, players that are full tilt 100% of the time (e.g. Julian Edelman WR Pats, PJ Tucker - Miami Heat).

There aren't any players that come to mind that are a in the league of Pete Rose or Cal Ripken. They were the hardest playing players of them all.

More money = more talent but they don't play hard all the time.

In the 80’s-90’s for NBA AC Green and David Robinson come to mind as you mentioned those legendary MLB greats.

Definitely more in that era to name from this list. When we approached the 2010’s this lazy player over paid persona has surfaced more & more throughout all leagues as Ck suggested.

It is all about post-season for sports now outside of football. NBA is the worst and MLB as well now with pitch counts. really can't blame them I guess
