I remember seeing replays of the legendary UCLA-Houston college basketball game at the Astrodome when the Cougars broke the Bruins 47-game win streak. Dubbed The Game of the Century


Elvin Hayes vs Alcindor. Record 52,000 attended.

The floor was so far away from the fans though. I wonder how anyone could enjoy watching from that far away

Ya I remember the Final Fours & Wilves 1st season in the Metrodome

Just a terrible viewing experience if you weren't on the floor

Same with Alamodome in San Antonio. Great football venue. Horrible ncaa hoops, final 4 etc experience.

TV for me unless it would be NCAA hoops on your campus than the environment alone would be worth it.
